What's Happening At Durst

September at Durst: Fresh From the Kitchen, Harvest Complete & Something New on the Horizon

September has arrived at Durst, and you can already feel the shift around the Estate.

The days are still warm, but the mornings are a little cooler, the evenings are starting to soften, and there’s that first hint that fall is on its way. Harvest has officially wrapped, the kitchen is settling into a new season, and we have some exciting things ahead.

Fresh From April’s Oven

If you’ve caught the smell of fresh bread around the Estate lately, you can thank Chef April.

She’s been busy baking fresh breads in-house, along with some seriously beautiful desserts, including her house-made chocolate éclairs last weekend.

There’s something about fresh bread

coming out of the oven while wine is being poured just a few steps away that feels exactly like what we want Durst to be.

Simple, thoughtful food. Good wine. Made here and meant to be enjoyed together.

Chef Bernard’s First Wine Pairing Dinner at Durst

This month also brings something brand new to the Estate.

Chef Bernard Martinez will host his first Durst Wine Pairing Dinner, bringing together a multi-course seasonal menu from the Durst Kitchen with thoughtfully selected Durst wines.

This is a chance for Chef Bernard and our winemaking team to really have some fun. Each course is being created with the wine in mind, giving guests an opportunity to experience both the kitchen and the cellar in a completely different way.

Expect beautiful food, great wine and an intimate evening at the Estate.

Seats are limited, so reservations are highly encouraged.

Harvest Is Officially in the Books

Another harvest at Durst is complete.

Those beautiful clusters we’ve been sharing over the past several weeks have made their way off the vines and into the next stage of their journey.

Harvest may be over in the vineyard, but inside the winery, the work is only beginning.

The cellar is busy, new wines are taking shape, and we’ll be bringing you along as this vintage develops. It’s one of our favorite reminders that every bottle starts right here, long before a cork is pulled or a glass is poured.

Something New Is Coming to Wine Club

We’ve also been doing a little work behind the scenes on the Durst Wine Club.

We want membership to feel like more than picking up wine a few times a year. It should feel like being part of Durst.

That means we’ve been taking a closer look at the club experience, the perks, the events and the little extras that make being a member worthwhile.

A new and improved Durst Wine Club is coming soon, and we’re excited to finally start sharing what we’ve been working on.

Current members, stay tuned. And if you’ve been thinking about joining us, this might be a very good time.

Your Celebration Belongs Here

Weddings are booking, but they aren't the only celebrations finding a home at Durst.

Birthdays, anniversaries, rehearsal dinners, showers, company gatherings, holiday parties and those we just need an excuse to get everyone together occasions can all look a little better surrounded by vineyards and a glass of Durst wine.

With beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, onsite catering from Chef Bernard and the Durst Kitchen, and a team that can help bring everything together, you don't have to save the Estate for the biggest day of your life.

And with fall and the holiday season approaching, now is the time to get your date on the calendar.

A New Season at Durst

Harvest may be finished, but September feels much more like a beginning than an ending around here.

There’s fresh bread in the oven, new wine in the cellar, Chef Bernard preparing for his first pairing dinner for Durst, celebrations being added to the calendar and a whole new chapter of the Durst Wine Club on its way.

And somewhere in between all of that, there’s still plenty of time to grab a glass of wine, find a spot outside and enjoy these first beautiful days of September.

We’ll see you at Durst.
