This dark red wine has aromas that bring thoughts of fresh blueberries, raspberry, and black current with slight notes of bay leaf, anise, and dried cranberries. It is a rich bodied wine, with nice layers of berry fruit, bold dusty tannins, and balanced structure with a long finish and noticeable acidity.
This wine cries out a rich prime rib with dill horse radish sauce, or a thick rib eye steak with a red wine reduction sauce and crispy onion rings either served with roasted mushrooms with Gruyere cheese.
